Salesian H.S. Becomes Drop Off Center for Red Cross

New Rochelle, NY - (November 8, 2012) - Salesian High School in New Rochelle today announced it is now an official drop off center for individuals to donate needed items for the American Red Cross relief efforts for victims of Hurricane Sandy.

In conjunction with American Red Cross, Salesian High School is accepting donations of canned goods, non-perishable items, clothing and cleaning supplies, which are currently in high demand. If you would like to donate,

just stop by school.  Your donation provides critical support to those in need.

Salesian High School will collect the donated items and then forward them on to the American Red Cross
distribution hub that is based in Staten Island.

Salesian High School students are also in the midst of the NHS Thanksgiving Food Drive through Nov. 20 to collect
canned goods, cereal items and other non-perishable goods for families in need. Financial donations are also being accepted.

I think it's great that Pamela Davis stepped up to run and I would be glad to vote for her any otherRead More year. But this year we have one of New Rochelle's most dedicated and knowledgeable activists running. Bob Cox knows New Rochelle and the school district inside and out. I'm not sure the same can be said for Pam Davis. If you want someone who already knows where the wasteful spending is, and already knows the district's strengths and weaknesses, then Bob Cox is the person. Who cares how congenial he is? Where some people see anger and finger-pointing, others see tenacity and accountability.
