New Rochelle Humane Society Thrift Shop Closes Its Doors

The New Rochelle Humane Society has closed its Thrift Shop at 311 North Ave., effective immediately.

Lucia Kim, who managed the shop for 32 years, is ill and unable to continue running it.

We want to thank everyone for their donations and patronage and especially Lucia, for her many years of service.

We are hoping to reopen the shop in a different location as soon as possible.  Please check our for updated information or call the shelter at 914-632-2925.

I think it's great that Pamela Davis stepped up to run and I would be glad to vote for her any other…Read More year. But this year we have one of New Rochelle's most dedicated and knowledgeable activists running. Bob Cox knows New Rochelle and the school district inside and out. I'm not sure the same can be said for Pam Davis. If you want someone who already knows where the wasteful spending is, and already knows the district's strengths and weaknesses, then Bob Cox is the person. Who cares how congenial he is? Where some people see anger and finger-pointing, others see tenacity and accountability.
