Obama's 2nd Term Will Look Like...

Wondering how another four years with Obama will be? Check out my post!

In past debates, President Obama expressed how he will improve America and get us moving forward.

Americans who don't follow the elections may like or dislike the President solely based on what they see and hear in these debates.

If you're unsure about the future of our country during the next four years, it might look like this based on Obama's policies:

Creating Jobs at here in America:

Manufacturing at home improves communities and leads to innovation and creates higher-waged jobs.

To enhance his recovery which began when he saved the auto industry, he plans to create 1 million new manufacturing jobs by the end of 2016.

He will also increase American exports.

Taxes:

The president cut taxes for American workers and has provided 18 tax cuts for small business.

By cutting spending and increasing revenue, the deficit (national debt) will be reduced by $4 trillion over the next decade.

$2.50 tax cut for every $1 the revenue increases.

Increasing taxes on households making over $1 million—etting them give a little more since they can afford to.

Ending wars to rebuild America:

Our President ended the war in Iraq, and plans to end the war in Afghanistan by 2014.

He plans to use 1/2 the money we save by ending these wars, to build our infrastructure; by proposing an independent fund that will gain private donor dollars, we can start new construction projects based on how badly we need them and how they will positively affect our economy.

Investing in Clean Energy:

Obama plans to cut oil-imports in half by 2020; by decreasing imports by 5.5 million  barrels a day and reducing our dependence on foreign oil.

By doubling fuel-efficiency, consumers will save $8,000 at the pump, create jobs, and save 12 billion barrels of oil.

If we use our 100-year supply of natural gas, 600,000 jobs by the end of the decade can be supported.

Opening up 75% of our gas and oil resources in the Gulf and Arctic can improve our own energy safely and cautiously without spills.

Pushing Education:

Investing in education creates opportunities for all Americans and is the surest path for the middle class.

Our president is setting a goal to be world leaders in college graduates by 2020.

He plans to cut tuition and fees in half over the next 10 years which saves students money.

Bring together community colleges & businesses to properly train 2 million Americans for jobs now and in the future.

He will push to save jobs for teachers, reward great teachers and improve teacher effectiveness.

Recruit 100,000 math and science teachers.

Health Care:

Obamacare benefits every American—it provides access to preventative care without Co-Payments or deductibles. Medicare is then strengthened for our seniors and young individuals will receive the proper health insurance they need.

Women will stop being charged more than men for the same coverage.

20 DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY !!!

I think it's great that Pamela Davis stepped up to run and I would be glad to vote for her any otherRead More year. But this year we have one of New Rochelle's most dedicated and knowledgeable activists running. Bob Cox knows New Rochelle and the school district inside and out. I'm not sure the same can be said for Pam Davis. If you want someone who already knows where the wasteful spending is, and already knows the district's strengths and weaknesses, then Bob Cox is the person. Who cares how congenial he is? Where some people see anger and finger-pointing, others see tenacity and accountability.
