School Supplies, Vendors Wanted and Rain

Here are some of the things you need to know in and around New Rochelle for Thursday, August 22, 2013.

1. Today is the last day to drop off school supplies for the Residence Park Neighborhood and Civic Association's annual drive to provide economically challenged New Rochelle children. Here is how you can help.

3. The weather for Thursday calls for a chance of showers and thunderstorms, according to the National Weather Service. Otherwise, it will be partly sunny with a high near 88. Overnight, there will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms with a low near 71.
