Reading Wrap Up, Rain in Forecast

Here are a few of the things you need to know in New Rochelle for Tuesday, August 13, 2013.

1. Pre-kindergarten through second grade children who complete the New Rochelle Public Library summer reading program will have a party at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 13. They will make music, sing crazy songs and enjoy the children’s group "Pretzelstein." The library is located at 1 Library Plz. in New Rochelle.

2. Summer Story Time at Starbucks continues at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 13. Sponsored by Beth El Synagogue Center and Starbucks, on Tuesdays through Aug. 28, Beth El staff will engage your child with an exciting story for free while you enjoy your morning up of coffee. 3. According to the National Weather Service, Tuesday's forecast included a chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely with a possible thunderstorm after 10 a.m. The chance of precipitation is 70 percent. When it's not raining it will be cloudy with a high near 80. The chance of showers and thunderstorms continues through the evening, with a low around 64.
