Opera in the Park, Traffic Alert and Rainy Forecast

Here are a few things you need to know in New Rochelle for Wednesday, August 7, 2013.

1. The New Rochelle Opera will perform at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 7 at Hudson Park as part of the Emil Paolucci Summer Sounds Concert Series. They will perform sounds of classic opera and operetta, along with some Broadway favorites. For details, go here.

2. The travel nightmare continues today—Wednesday, August 7. Boston Post Road is closed at the Hutchinson River Parkway in Pelham Manor due to construction. Read more here.

3. Say goodbye to nice weather. The forecast for Wednesday from the National Weather Service calls for scattered showers with thunderstorms possible after 1 p.m. Chance of rain is 30 percent. The high will be near 81. For Wednesday night, there is a 70 percent chance of precipitation. The low will be around 68.
