New Rochelle Memories, Wine Class and Hutch Lane Closings

Here is some of what you should know for Wednesday, November 13, 2013.

1. Share your New Rochelle stories and they become part of A Year of Sounds and Stories: 365 Tales from Unexpected Places. Residents can make an appointment to record their stories in a 30- to 40-minute session with a professional interviewer. The interviews will take place in The Cube, which is set up in the lobby of the New Rochelle Public Library, 1 Library Plz. Slots are available between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Wednesday, November 13 through Friday, November 15 and Monday, November 18. To make an appointment, stop by the library's Community Relation's office between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., email communityrelations@nrpl.org or call 914-813-3706.

2. Want to learn how to taste wine? AOC Fine Wines, 268 Huguenot St. in New Rochelle is having a Wine Class  at 7 p.m. Wednesday, November 13. You will educate your palate and expose it to aromas and flavors of different wines. Wine Club members can attend the class for free. Otherwise, admission is $50, but you get two or three bottles of AOC's Wine of the Month. Call 914-355-2690.

3. Wednesday's weather will be better than Tuesday's. The National Weather Service forecast calls for sunny skies with a high near 39. Overnight, it will be mostly clear with a low around 28.

4. ICYMI: There will be lane closings on the Hutch this week.
