Identity Theft, Speed Networking and Astorino Budget

Here are some of the things you should know for Tuesday, November 19, 2013.

1. Want to learn how to prevent identity theft? Join the Larchmont-Mamaroneck Local Summit at 7:45 a.m. Tuesday at the Nautilus Diner, 1240 Boston Post Rd., in Mamaroneck. Speakers John Gaccione, acting director of the Westchester County Dept. of Consumer Protection, and Town of Mamaroneck Police Detective Lt. Melrose will talk about what identity theft is, how you can prevent it and what to do if it happens to you.

2. You can increase and enhance your business connections at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the FWA-WestCon: Speed Networking Event sponsored by the Financial Women's Association. You will have a chance to enhance your career and develop new business relationships. Held at Bar'Lees, 157 Mamaroneck Ave., in Mamaroneck, the cover charge of $25 for FWA members and $30 for non-members includes a glass of wine or beer, a variety of appetizers and a structured networking experience.

3. Don't expect it be as warm Tuesday as it was Monday. The forecast from the National Weather Service calls for sunny skies and winds from the northwest 15 to 25 mph. The high will be in the upper 40s. Overnight, it will be clear with a low in the upper 20s. Winds will be from the north 10 to 15 mph.
