Hanukkah, Thanksgiving and Rain

Here are some of the things you should know for Wednesday, November 27, 2013.

1. Still haven't gone shopping for your Thanksgiving meal or you've just discovered you forgot something? Well, the major supermarkets in the area are all open normal hours Wednesday. Just be prepared to face crowds. 

2. Hanukkah begins at sundown Wednesday. This is the first time Hanukkah and Thanksgiving have intersected since the late 1800s. And, if the Jewish calendar is not revised, it won't happen again for over 72,000 years. Here are a few of our stories on Thanksgivukkah:

3. What's the weather for Wednesday? Rain, lots of rain. Per the National Weather Service, the forecast calls for a 100-percent chance of rain, with possible thunderstorms. The high will be near 58. It will be windy with gusts to 46 mph. Overnight, there will be rain shower mixing with snow after 11 p.m. The low will be around 28. It will still be windy with gusts to 36 mph.
