African Dance, Story Time and Traffic Closings

Here are a few things you need to know in New Rochelle for Tuesday, August 6, 2013.

1. The Starbucks in the Wykagyl Shopping Center on North Avenue will treat children to a story time session at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 6. You can have coffee while your children hear a story read by staff from Beth El Synagogue. Starbucks is located at 1278-1280 North Ave.

2. Anthony Wooden, director of Bokandeye Dance Troupe, and an accompanist
drummer return to the New Rochelle Public Library for a free performance at 7 p.m. Tuesday, August 6 with traditional African dance for the whole family.

4. The travel nightmare starts today—Tuesday, August 6. Boston Post Road is being closed at the Hutchinson River Parkway in Pelham Manor due to construction. Read more here.

5. A minute here, a minute there and soon it will be dark at at 4:30 p.m.—not that I'm counting. Sunrise Tuesday, August 6 is at 5:56 a.m. Sunset will be at 8:06 p.m. Monday's times were 5:55 a.m. and 8:07 p.m.
