A New Rochelle man has been charged with assault following an altercation that ended with his neighbor stabbed in the back of the neck, said New Rochelle police.
Police responded to a call at 127 Fourth Street at 9:32 a.m. on Saturday. They believe two men who were neighbors in the building were involved in a dispute that turned physical.
Sylvester Hendrix, 37, is accused of using a knife to stab the victim in the back of the neck. The victim was taken to Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx with non-life-threatening injuries. The victim's identity is not yet being released.

Hendrix has been charged with first-degree assault.
