Get Out Weekend Planner: Roller Derby and Father's Day Baseball

There are a few activities from around the area to put in your planner.

1. Live Acoustic Music
Where/When: , 13 Huguenot St., New Rochelle, Friday, June 15 at 9:30 p.m.
Why go: Westchester County's live acoustic music is showcased every Friday at the Post Road Ale House from 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
Pricing: No cover.

2. Suburbia Roller Derby Summer Season Opener
Where/When: EJ Murray Memorial Skating Center, 348 Tuckahoe Rd., Yonkers, Saturday, June 16, 6 p.m.
Why go: Suburbia Roller Derby kicks off the summer season with a rematch between the Botoxic Avengers and the 2011 Championship-winning Country Clubbers. The Avengers are out for blood, but the Clubbers are sharpening their nails for the fight. Doors open at 6 p.m., but the bout begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are available online here through Ticketleap. 
Pricing: $10, advance general admission; $15, general admission at the door; $20, VIP seating.

Where/When: Yonkers Raceway, 810 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers, Sunday, June 17 at 11:30 a.m.
Why go: Empire City Casino at Yonkers Raceway will celebrate a “diamond-studded” Father’s Day Sunday, with a special Empire City Baseball Giveaway, and all-day Autograph and Q&A sessions with notable New York baseball stars as Yankees and Mets World Champions Darryl Strawberry, Ron Darling, Ron Swoboda, Ed Kranepool and Roy White and the legendary Brooklyn Dodger hurler Ralph Branca. 4. Brazil (Director's Cut)
Where/When: The Pelham Picture House, 175 Wolfs Ln., Pelham, Sunday, June 17 at 1:30 p.m. and Monday, June 18 at 6 p.m.
Why go: Terry Gilliam’s anti-toalitariansim Brazil has been compared to the works of George Orwell, Kurt Vonnegut Jr. and Aldous Huxley. Gilliam gathered footage from both the European and American versions of this film to create his director's cut. This film is unrated.
Pricing: General, $12; senior/students/child, $10; members, $6.

Where/When: , 951 E. Boston Post Rd., Mamaroneck, Sunday, June 17 at 2:30 p.m.
Why go: This weekly yoga class offers inspiration and bonding for women touched by cancer. Yoga: For Women Survivors includes breathing exercises, healing yoga sequences, re­storative yoga and journaling. The class is appropriate for women of all ages and at various stages either during or after treatment for cancer. No prior yoga experience necessary.
Pricing: Free.
